How can I remove ball point ink from my dryer?
Do not attempt service or replace parts of the appliance unless referred to in the owner's manual. Follow all safety precautions provided in the owner's manual.
Use the following suggestions to remove ballpoint ink stains from the dryer cylinder.
  1. Place dry rags in the dryer. Using the hottest heat setting, run the dryer for one hour to absorb the ink.  
     
  2. Apply one of the following cleaners to a soft cloth, and rub the stain.
    • Tech Stain Remover (manufactured by Tech Stain Enterprises, 901 Stewart St., Madison, WI 53713, 608/274-3838.) This is found at grocery, hardware, carpet and furniture stores.  
       
    • Mild nonabrasive cleanser without bleach.  
       
    • Detergent paste (powder detergent mixed with water).
     
     
  3. Place wet rags in the dryer. Using the hottest heat setting, run the dryer for one hour to remove any cleaner residue.
